Medal for Services Rendered

The Medal for Services Rendered (miniature) is the reduced version of this official Belgian decoration, awarded in recognition of loyal and exemplary service within the armed forces.

The miniature consists of a small round bronze medal, attached to a bright yellow ribbon with five thin vertical black stripes. The obverse shows an upright sword surrounded by a laurel wreath. Around the central motif is the Latin motto “Patriam protego et servio” (I protect and serve the fatherland).

This miniature is intended to be worn on occasions where a reduced version of the decoration is required or customary.
