Grand Cross Order of the Crown

The sash of the Grand Cross in the Order of the Crown is an essential element of the highest class of this Belgian distinction. The wide shoulder ribbon is worn diagonally across the chest, with the end resting on the hip and finished in a bow from which the Commander’s badge is suspended.

This version is made of burgundy moiré ribbon, with the moiré weave providing a rich and formal appearance. The ends of the bow are notched to prevent fraying, in accordance with the official model.

The sash is worn exclusively at official ceremonies and, together with the breast star, forms the complete Grand Cross of the Order of the Crown.
