Golden Medal Order of Leopold II

The ribbon of the Gold Medal of the Order of Leopold II is worn on the lapel of a civilian suit as a replacement for the medal.

It is made of blue moiré ribbon with a central black stripe and decorated with a small metal miniature of the gold medal in gilt metal.

The ribbon consists of a metal base on which the fabric is mounted. It is inserted entirely through the lapel buttonhole and then closed by folding a pliable part of the metal base around the buttonhole, ensuring discreet and secure attachment.
