Grand Cordon Order of Leopold

This reduction is a miniature version of the insignia of Grand Cordon of the Order of Leopold. The insignia consists of a white enamelled Maltese cross with a green enamel border, featuring in the centre a medallion with the Belgian lion and the motto “Eendracht maakt macht” on a red ring. This is explicitly the Dutch-language version of the insignia. Above the cross is a gilded royal crown.

The whole is attached to a purple ribbon, adorned with a double coloured golden bar and a purple ribbon rosette.

This piece is made of metal (not solid silver). It is a reduction model, i.e. a smaller representative version of the original insignia.
