Officer Order of Leopold

This version concerns the insignia of Officer of the Order of Leopold, in the large model made of solid silver, as worn with the full dress uniform.
It is the official insignia awarded upon appointment as Officer of the Order of Leopold.

The insignia consists of a four-armed cross in white enamel, featuring at its centre a gilded Belgian lion, surrounded by the mottos “Eendracht Maakt Macht” and “L’Union Fait La Force”, and a green enamel laurel and oak wreath.
The reverse bears the royal monogram “LR”.
Above the cross is a gilded royal crown, connecting the insignia to the characteristic purple moiré ribbon of the order, adorned with a rosette.
