Officer Order of Leopold Maritime

The Officer’s Cross of the Order of Leopold, maritime division, large model in solid fine silver (.999). This insignia is worn from a purple moiré ribbon with rosette.

The cross is crafted in silver, with white enameled arms and gilded borders, and bears at its center a black enameled medallion featuring the gilded Belgian lion in relief and the surrounding legend “L’union fait la force – Eendracht maakt macht.” The cross is encircled by a green laurel wreath with red accents.

Above the cross appear the crossed gilded anchors, surmounted by the gilded royal crown, which clearly distinguishes the maritime division from the civil one.

The uniform slides and rosettes of the Officer in the maritime division of the Order of Leopold are identical to those of the civil Officer and can be ordered there as well.
