Commemorative medal for Foreign Operational Theatres

The Commemorative Medal for Foreign Operational Theatres (large model) is a Belgian award created to honour military personnel who, after the Second World War, took part in operations and interventions abroad. It symbolises courage, commitment and the international role of the Belgian armed forces.

The medal is struck in bronze-coloured metal and depicts the Belgian coat of arms within a sunburst. It is suspended from a light blue moiré ribbon with two vertical white stripes, edged with black, yellow and red borders representing the national flag.

The large model was worn on the uniform during official ceremonies and military commemorations.
