Description

The ribbon of the Fire Cross 1914-1918 is made from the original red moiré ribbon with two blue stripes. The ribbon is folded into the traditional triangular lapel form and mounted on a metal base. This base is slipped through the lapel buttonhole and secured at the back with a foldable part of the mount. The ribbon offered veterans a sober and elegant way to display their award daily without the full medal.
