Flemish Cross of the Three Cities - Diksmuide / Ieper / Nieuwpoort - 1914-1918

The miniature of the Flemish Cross of the Three Cities 1914-1918 is a reduced version of the official award. It retains all its symbolism: the black Flemish lion at the centre, the three city names Diksmuide, Ypres, Nieuwpoort, and the dates 1914-1918. The reverse bears the inscription “Flemish Gratitude – Flemish Cross of the Three Cities”. The miniature hangs from the yellow moiré ribbon with black and red edges, which, together with the yellow, form the Belgian flag.
