Description

The full-size model of the War Volunteer-Fighter 1940-1945 decoration is produced in traditional format and struck in bronze. The obverse depicts a powerful figure with bare chest, holding a sword, set against a burst of radiant light symbolising victory and regained freedom. The medal is suspended from a red moiré ribbon with five narrow blue stripes. This version was worn at official ceremonies and represents the most emblematic form of the decoration.
