Description

The ribbon of the Yser Medal 1914-1918 is made of black moiré with a broad central orange stripe. It is folded into the traditional triangular lapel form and mounted on a metal base that slides through the buttonhole and is secured at the back with a foldable part of the mount. This lapel ribbon allowed veterans to wear a sober and respectful sign of their service without the full medal.
