Civil Medal 3rd class

The Civil Medal, Third Class, is a Belgian honour awarded in recognition of civil merit. The large model is produced in bronze, in full accordance with the official specifications.

The medal takes the form of a four-armed cross with broad ends, decorated with fine engraved detailing. The central medallion bears the monogram “L” (Leopold II) in bronze relief. The medal is suspended from a bronze loop and attached to a moiré ribbon in red with black stripes, the traditional colours of the Belgian Civil Decorations.
