Grand Cross Order of Leopold II

The miniature of the Grand Cross of the Order of Leopold II represents the highest grade of this Belgian order of knighthood. This version is crafted from high-quality metal, with gilt and enamelled details, and is intended as a wearable alternative for less formal occasions.

The miniature cross is gilt, featuring at its centre a black enamelled medallion with the gilded Belgian lion in relief. The surrounding dark blue enamel ring bears only the national motto in Dutch: “EENDRACHT MAAKT MACHT”. The piece is surmounted by a gilt royal crown.

The miniature is suspended from a bright blue silk ribbon with a central black stripe, adorned with a rosette with gilt galloon.
